Imperial BBA white stout aged on oak staves w/ coffee, coconut, macadamia nut, & cardamom • 8% ABV

Guilty Remnant was our first foray into brewing stouts and in Blood Brothers fashion, it was the furthest thing from a traditional recipe. We decided to brew this stout highlighting all of the roasted character coming from adjuncts instead of malt, so that the colour of the beer would not darken. We originally made this recipe with cocoa husk in the mash and aged the finished product on coffee. For our ten year anniversary we decided to meld the hard coffee concept into an imperial base of Guilty Remnant and the adjuncts in this brew were inspired by an incredible coffee drink we had in Mexico City. Our version has macadamia nut, coconut, and cardamom aged on second use bourbon barrel staves. We incorporate the coffee portion of this beverage by aging the beer on Hale “Sao Pedro” beans.

Notes: a Guilty Remnant turned up to 8%, adjuncted with coconut and spices.
